If you’ve been banned from Hinge, this means we’ve detected activity associated with your account that violated our Terms of Service. We take violations of our policies very seriously.
Can you tell me why I was banned?
- In some circumstances, banned users will be provided with a reason for their ban. The reason will appear immediately following the ban on an in-app screen.
- In many circumstances, we do not provide banned users with reasons for their ban. While we recognize it may be frustrating not to fully understand the specifics behind a ban, please know that a variety of factors can contribute to your ban: reports on your account, review from our content moderation team and/or automated decision making. We keep these decisions private to protect the anonymity of any users who may have reported you and in accordance with our obligation to maintain the safety and integrity of the Hinge community.
- We will not respond to inquiries requesting further information about ban reasons.
- Ban reason information is not included in data export requests.
Who makes the final decisions?
- Our moderation team is a group of Hinge staff members who have undergone extensive training. We've taken particular care to ensure that the moderation team includes individuals from a variety of backgrounds with a variety of life experiences that help them make fair and informed decisions.
You will not be able to create a new Hinge account. If you had a subscription, you may need to cancel your subscription to prevent future payments.
